My Five Favorite Quotes
Quotes have always been something that I have always loved to find and read. I have 1,430 quotes saved on Pinterest, so you can see how I love them. These are my five favorite quotes. It was hard to just limit it to five, but these are the ones I cherish, and I go to when I need a bit of inspiration.
“He has achieved success who has worked well, laughed often, and loved much” ~ Elbert Hubbarb
This quote summarizes exactly what I feel success is in life. It is to have loved the people in my life with all of my heart while laughing as much as possible.
“New beginnings are often disguised as painful deaths” ~ Lao Tzu
This quote has helped me during those times that I have felt lost and/or sad because a phase was ending. It reminds me that this means that a new phase is starting and to apply the lessons learned from the previous one so I don’t make the same mistakes again. It’s a new chance for happiness.
“Well-behaved women seldom make history” ~ Laurel Thatcher Ulrich
I found this quote in my twenties and have used it every since. I want to be a woman who is true to herself. A woman who takes risks and isn’t afraid of failure because that is the only way to be happy and successful.
“Happiness is a warm puppy.” ~ Charles M. Schulz
Since I can remember, I have always loved “Peanuts.” I would watch Charlie Brown holiday movies with my family. My favorite was Lucy, and I don’t have an idea why I did. I think she is a sassy and bossy girl, and that is probably what I loved about her. I would read the Sunday comics and then started getting the books. This might be why I love this quote so much because I think about “Peanuts.”
“The only way to find true happiness is to risk being completely cut open” ~ Chuck Palahniuk
Without risks, you will never be able to fully be happy. Your fear of failure will cause you to continue moving along the path you are on even if you are unhappy.
